Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

What Is a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as liquid nose job, uses dermal fillers to temporarily enhance the shape of your nose. Unlike a surgical rhinoplasty, which is an invasive procedure that reshapes the underlying bone and cartilage, a liquid rhinoplasty uses injections of a facial filler beneath the skin to smooth out unevenness, camouflage a hump, and restructure your nose. A filler rhinoplasty will make your nose larger. So, if your aesthetic goal is to reduce the size of an overly large nose, this treatment is not designed for you. In that case you will be better served by choosing cosmetic surgery.

At Saratoga Springs Plastic Surgery, our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven Yarinsky, who has over 30 years’ experience doing rhinoplasties and cosmetic surgery, utilizes the fillers Restylane®, JUVÉDERM®, and RADIESSE® for non-surgical rhinoplasty. His experience as the only Albany and Capital District area certified ExpertInjector™ by New Beauty Magazine makes him exceptionally qualified to provide you with your liquid nose job safely and effectively. By carefully placing tiny amounts of the fillers in various anatomically key areas of your nose,  Dr. Yarinsky adds subtle volume to address aesthetic nose concerns.

What Does a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Entail?

Although a liquid rhinoplasty is more straightforward than surgery, the procedure should be performed by a highly qualified injector to ensure balanced and proportionate results, as well as to minimize the chance of a disastrous result, such as obstruction of blood vessels by the filler that causes loss of overlying skin. The cosmetic treatment typically starts with a topical anesthetic applied to the skin of your nose and surrounding areas. Dr. Yarinsky may also give you “laughing gas” for painless injectable treatments. Once the area is numb and you feel comfortable, Dr. Yarinsky will inject small amounts of the filler into specific areas around your nose and the nasal bridge as well. Some patients experience a slight pinching sensation during injection. In total, the treatment can take from 15 to 45 minutes. There is usually no downtime after your non-surgical rhinoplasty, allowing you to return to your regular activities immediately after leaving our office.

How Long Does a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Last?

Once the dermal filler settles into the injection site, results from your liquid rhinoplasty should last for six months to a year. Factors that can contribute to your treatment’s longevity include:

How Much Does a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Cost?

The cost of non-surgical rhinoplasty may vary from patient to patient. Contributing factors to the overall price include the number of injections and the type of dermal filler that is used. On average, the cost of a liquid rhinoplasty typically ranges from $600 for a minor correction to $2,500 or more for a more involved or difficult correction. At your consultation Dr. Yarinsky will design a treatment plan with your desired results in mind and you will receive a customized quote.
