• Mini-abdominoplasty tightens the lower abdominal wall skin only. Most people will benefit more from a full (standard) tummy tuck.
• Standard abdominoplasty tightens all of the abdominal wall skin.
• Extended abdominoplasty tightens the abdomen and the flanks or sides.
• Belt lipectomy lightens the abdomen, flanks, and the back--all around your waistline.
• Your result will reach the 90% point in six weeks. Further healing and improvement will occur over a year.

RECUPERATION AND HEALING

• Abdominoplasty discomfort is controlled by pain medication taken for one to two weeks.
• Three to five days of total assistance at your home is needed after surgery.
• Walking begins the day after surgery and is comfortable in two weeks. Light activity is comfortable in 10-20 days. Strenuous sports will not be comfortable for about 6 weeks.

• You have unsightly sagging skin on your upper arms due to aging, genetics, or weight loss.

INTENDED RESULT

• Reduction or elimination of loose skin from your upper arm.

• The procedure is usually done using general anesthesia in Dr. Yarinsky's office facility. The incision used runs from near the elbow into the armpit.
• The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm toward the back), but some scarring will always be visible.
• Your result will reach the 90% point in six weeks. Further healing and improvement will occur over a year.

RECUPERATION AND HEALING

• Your upper arms are either wrapped in ace wraps or placed in an elastic sleeve to reduce swelling. Initial healing usually occurs in 10-14 days.
• Sutures are usually removed within the first three weeks.
• Swelling and bruising gradually disappear over four weeks. All swelling is gone in six months.
• The scars fade lover a year depending on your skin.

OTHER OPTIONS

• An additional procedure that may enhance your result is liposuction of the upper arms or axillae. This can be done at the same time at a discount.
